Here are some things to think about or do to make sure you have a outstanding, successful live draw event.

Before your draw

  • Planning: will your draw event be live at a venue, will you live stream it, who will run the draw, when will it be

  • Regulations: check any regulations for lucky draws or giveaways in your country

  • Prizes: decide if you are having prizes for your draw and get them

  • Rules: decide if you are having rules for your draw (who can enter and how, any Ts and Cs, dates) and publish them

  • Marketing: market your draw on your site, social media, and by email

  • Check technical requirements: make sure your final venue will have all your requirements, such as internet access, sound system, large screen or projector

Set up your draw in Lucky Draw Plus

  • Prepare your entries file

  • Set up your draw:

    • Background settings: background image, logos, draw name

    • Behaviour settings: duration, speed, draw style, winner confetti, sound effects

    • Entries settings: show entries count, remove winner from draw, randomise list

  • Test your draw

  • Make sure you have enough credits for the number of live draws you intend to do

  • Do at least one live draw, check the “Do not show this message again” checkbox in the Confirm live draw popup

Rehearse your draw event

  • Rehearse your draw in the same conditions as for your final live presentation

    • Same venue

    • Same device

    • Same entries file

    • Same equipment, for example sound system, projector, screen

    • Same supporting software, for example screensharing or streaming software

After your draw

  • Download Results CSV

  • Download Winner certificates

  • Thank your participants

  • Publish your results

  • Contact your winners

  • Arrange for prizes to be sent to winners

  • Assess how well your goals were achieved

  • Debrief your learnings to feed into any future draws

  • Fill in a Customer review in Lucky Draw Plus to earn free credits towards your next draw!
